Introduction :
Castrol Alpha SP product range is premium quality extreme pressure type industrial gear lubricants meeting various requirements of new generation gear drives of heavy industrial machinery. This oil is blended from solvent refined base stocks with specially selected sulphur phosphorous type additive packed to impart extreme pressure and anti wear characteristics .The product range has excellent thermal stability, low foaming and good demulsibility characteristics.
Applications :
Castrol Alpha SP gear oils are designed to meet lubrication requirements of enclosed gear drives of industrial machinery working under heavy to shock load conditions. These oils can also be used for lubrication of chain drives, sprockets, flexible couplings, plain, and roller bearings. The recommended maximum bulk fluid temperature is approximately 100 0 C - 110 0 C. However -continuous operation at this temperature may reduce service life of the oil. The products are not recommended for gear drives with brass / bronze components.
